LYNN THURSTON BROUNTAS

BROUNTAS, Lynn Thurston Of Weston and Chatham, died peacefully at age 83 on Monday, March 22, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Paul P. Brountas, to whom she was married for 54 years. She was the devoted and endlessly beloved mother of Paul P. Brountas, Jr. of Waltham, Jennifer V.W. Brountas of Boston, and Barrett Brountas and husband Christopher Biddle of Wayland. She also leaves the absolute lights of her life's third act, grandchildren Asher N. Biddle and Penelope G.M. Biddle of Wayland. Lynn graduated from Smith College in 1959, then moved to Boston where she met her husband. In 1965, she and Paul moved to Weston where she raised her family and began a lifetime of volunteering for programs in which she deeply believed, such as METCO and the League of Women Voters. She was an avid reader, an enthusiastic traveler, an infinitely energetic gardener, a fierce tennis player, and a friend and surrogate mother to many. She will be truly missed.
