I enjoy so much the warm remembrances with Syrian families. I was like an orphan, no mother, educated at a very good private school, while my baby sister enjoyed living with a Syrian family. But we all knew each othe well, and I think of Madeline and all of her relatives. I never forget my Syrian families. We were all so very close in those days. It was a different kind of world. To the Cahaly & Zahka Families
I remember as a child seeing and talking to Madeline, her mother in Allston, and her siblings. We always remember with fondness the Zahka and the Cahaly's. Sad to see yet another member of St Johns leave us.
