MARGARET S. MAGNER

MAGNER, Margaret S. (Sullivan) Of Hingham, died August 10, 2013. Beloved wife of Thomas G. Magner of Hingham. Loving mother of Mary Loveland and her husband Robert of West Linn, OR, Thomas Magner and his wife Nancy of Orleans and Neil Magner and his wife Andrea of Boxboro. Sister of the late Catherine Connors, Mary O'Neil, Helen Steele and Frank, Joseph, John and Rev. Timothy Sullivan. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Sarah and her husband Mark, Kate and her husband Noah, Brendan, Joseph, Timothy and John. Great grandmother to Samuel and Anna. Margaret was born, raised and educated in Somerville. Prior to her marriage Margaret worked as an executive secretary in the engineering department at the New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. in Boston where she met her husband Tom. She lived in Lexington for many years where she raised her family. Margaret worked at the Lexington Library for 10 years before retiring in 1980. Margaret was a member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Brigid Parish in Lexington and enjoyed volunteering at the election polls whenever she had the chance. Margaret was dedicated to her Catholic faith and her family. She was one of eight children and had an extremely close relationship with all of her siblings. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
