O'CONNOR, Margaret "Peggy" (Dwyer) Age 87, of Milton, passed away peacefully, on November 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at home. Beloved wife to Austin F. O'Connor for 61 years. Devoted mother to Austin M. O'Connor (Mary) of Hingham, Kevin O'Connor (Tammy) of Lakeville, Caroline Walsh (John) of Milton and Sheila Taylor (Mark) of Milton. Doting grandmother to Carlie Pardini (Danny), Austin S. (Heather), Sarah, Brendan, Bridget O'Connor; Olivia, Jack, Connor (Haley), Eamon, Emily Walsh, Maeve, Maura, Molly O'Connor, AJ, Brooke and Nina Taylor. Cherished great-grandmother to Elle, Liam and Jaxson Pardini. Peggy is survived by her siblings, Maureen Egan of Milton, John Dwyer of Castletownbere, Ireland, Pat Dwyer of Quincy, Eileen O'Connor of San Francisco and Michael Dwyer of Westwood. Adored by many nieces and nephews. Peggy was predeceased by her parents, Pat and Helena "Lena" Dwyer; and her granddaughter, Siobhan Taylor. Born Eyeries, Castletownbere, Co. Cork, Ireland, Peggy arrived in Boston in 1957 and lived on St. Gregory St., Dorchester, with her aunt and uncle, Tim and Nora Driscoll; and her sister, Maureen, who led the way to the States from Ireland. She worked at Filene's in Boston and enjoyed Irish dances and the Gaelic games, where she met Austin. Peggy was an integral part of helping Austin grow his business, The Briar Group and Kinvara Property Management. Peggy was a devout Catholic, bringing those values to her family and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her grandchildren were her passion and she lovingly spoiled them all. Peggy enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She especially enjoyed Pompano Beach, FL and Newport, RI, where she took up playing golf. We are grateful for the love and care she received by her caregivers, which allowed her to remain at home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, 432 Adams Street, Milton, Saturday, November 9, at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting Hours on Friday, from 4-7pm, at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE. A private Burial will be held at a later date.
