To Mrs. Clancy's Family;

I think of her almost daily and I had her in 1972 I think that says it all , she was the first teacher in my life that was far more than just a teacher she was a friend. I can't imagine how lucky The Clancy Family are. I thought of myself as lucky to have known her for 2 years and they had a life time with her.

I know That God has blessed her now I hope he blesses The Family with the knowledge that if there is a heaven and there is a God She will be playing in his Choir

Thank you for sharing her with me

I just heard of your Mom's passing. She was such a warm and gifted person who always had time for others. She was a big part of my growing up years at the Blessed Sacrament choir. She and your dad played and sang at our wedding almost 50 years ago. Our sympathy to all. Mary and Paul McIntire (Mary Cameron)

To the Clancy Family-
Tuesday was a work day but all morning long I was wishing I could be at your Mother's funeral mass, knowing it would be memorable. My husband Gregg was there with you and when he returned at dinner time he described, to the best of his ability, the scene, the words, the emotions, the tribute, -as friends and family said their last prayers and goodbyes to an amazing woman and mother. Punctuated by long pauses, an occasional smile or a tear, Gregg painted a picture allowing me to vicariously sense the quiet, humble power of a family full of love and appreciation for their most remarkable Mother. Mrs. Clancy's legacy is a family with open and generous hearts, a love of life and music, a commitment to use their God-given talents, an ability to accept and treat everyone as extended family, fabulous humor and total devotion to eachother. To know the Clancy children is - I feel - to know their Mother. God bless you all!

I am the current music teacher at Atlantic Middle School and I have had the honor of having Mrs. Clancy (the first ever music teacher at AMS) at one of my concerts. In fact, we dedicated that performance to her. I will never forget her comments on our performance of The Black Eyed Peas song Where Is the Love: "You are very brave for picking such diverse selections, but it was worth it! Great Job!" Thank you Marion!

Mrs. Clancy was my favorite teacher at Atlantic Jr. High. She saw the best in me and encouraged me to go after and achieve my musical successes. She even invited us into her home on Nantakset Beach down on "A" St. way back in 1974. It was a sunny, funny day swimming in the waves, with a side trip to Paragon Park. She was and outstanding teacher who was selflessly dedicated to her students. Please know that Mrs. Clancy is in my thoughts and prayers as well as all of her family. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Peace be with you.

To our dearest mother Marion,
A mother's love is a blessing on which she bestowed many, on all of her children, especially both of us. Vivid memories of summertime on Nantasket Beach and Prospect Avenue will remain in our hearts forever. Christmas Eve masses at St. James in Boston, and "Going out singing tonight" were the best memories of all. Sunday dinners at Joe's will never be the same without you, but we will remember to celebrate this beautiful life that you have given to us. We will never forget you Mom. You gave us your music from which we will hit the highest notes forever. We will harmonize with each other and you, until we meet again.

Love you always,
Julie and Eileen

To the Clancy Family: My deepest sympathy to each of you during this time. It was truly wonderful spending the past year and a half as one of Marion's caregivers. Marion loved her children so much and was extremely proud of each and all of their successes in life. I loved hearing Marion play the piano, songs such as "Danny Boy", "Ave Maria"., and many more. Johnny McEvoy's song "When the Rain Comes" was one of her favorites and also enjoyed singing along to his many songs on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Marion thought me some great techniques when using my voice of which I am very grateful. She instilled great passion for singing and music within all of her children and spoke beautifully of her dear husband Jim, her daughters Peggy and Martha and her dear son James who passed before her on life's journey. She shared stories of days "gone by" like it was only yesterday. She enjoyed talking weekly to her sister Madelyn. I will dearly miss Marion, she was a wonderful friend to me and I shall cherish that time and memories always. She had great energy and vitality for life. Much love to all the family.

Slan agus beannacht,
(in Gaelic means: Goodbye & God Bless)

Love always, Callie xx
