MARION HOWE Obituary

HOWE, Marion Elaine 85, of Gilford, NH, formerly of Melrose, MA, died on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, NH. Mrs. Howe was born on December 24, 1928 in Lancaster, NH, the daughter of the late Thaddeus and Doris (Brewer) Stickney. She worked for many years as an Editor for Addison Wesley Publishing Company in Reading, Mass. Marion loved playing the piano and enjoyed knitting. She was a huge supporter of multiple charities, an animal lover and a devoted Boston Celtics fan. Marion enjoyed boating with her family on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She is survived by her children; Janet Rain and her husband Peter of Gilford, NH, Jeffrey Howe and his wife Ellen of Winthrop, MA, Joyce Anderson of Nashua, NH, Judith Donahue and her husband Scott of Wakefield, MA and Joanne Todisco and her husband Thomas of Revere, MA, ten grandchildren; Justin Donahue, Steven Todisco, Jeffrey Anderson, Jennifer Tripp, Jessica Hautaniemi, Bryan Todisco, Robert Donahue, Lauren Chizauskas, Lisa Donahue and Laura Donahue and two great grandchildren; Riley Rose Todisco and Mila Chizauskas. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband, Robert M. Howe, two brothers; Laurence Stickney and Norman Stickney and one grandchild, Andrea Rain. A celebration of life will be held from 1PM to 5PM on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Crystal Community Club, 71 Preston Street, Wakefield, Mass. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, PO Box 52074, Phoenix, AZ 85072-2074.
