Marjorie Keenan Obituary

Of Medford and Floral City, FL, died at her home in Florida. She was 72 years old. She was a retired Personnel Asst. for the Post Office. Born and educated in Charlestown and Cambridge. She has lived in Medford for the past 37 years; she spent her winters in Floral City, FL. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Francis L. Keenan. Loving mother of six daughters Janet Galvin of Medford, Marjorie Sampson of Randolph, Nancy Keenan of Wilmington, Elaine White of Everett, Carolyn Smith of FL, and Sheila Keenan of Quincy. She is also a loving mother of six sons Garrett of Carver, Jerome of Lynn, Andrew of Norfolk, Paul of Townsend, Lawrence of Medford, Russell of Medford and the late Francis Keenan, Jr. Daughter of Madge (McLaughlin) Doherty of Charlestown. Sister of Rita McLaughlin of Chelmsford, Helen Dinsmore, Joan Mansfield, Patricia Russell and Veronica Cooney of Floral City, FL and Janet McGonagle of Farmington, CT, Hugh Doherty of Floral City, FL, and John Doherty of Medford. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass. Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, 114 High St., Medford, Wednesday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM and Tuesday 4-8 PM. Parking available at Pemberton Garden Center. Burial at Cambridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction, 317 E. 34th Street, Room 901, New York, NY 10016.
