MARJORIE MACMILLAN Obituary

MacMILLAN, Marjorie P. "Marge" (Adelman) Passed away peacefully February 18, 2015 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Robert D. MacMillan, in 2012 and her loving sister, Frances Noble, in 2013. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children, Ronald D. MacMillan of Holbrook, Lisa E. Bracken and her husband Jay of Bellingham, and her adoring grandson, Jackson Robert Bracken, who was her "pride and joy", devoted brother, David Adelman and his wife Gerrie of Stoughton; best friend, Audrey MacMillan of Osterville; many close and loving nieces and nephews, special friends and neighbors. Marjorie was born in Boston and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School for Girls. During her years in high school, she entered into the banking industry, where she forged so many special, life-long friendships. She went on through the years to work as a Proof Operator for Federal Reserve Bank, Quincy Trust, Mass Bank and Trust and Boson Financial Data Services. Marge was always giving and cared about others. She gave willingly and happily without ever expecting anything in return. Marge loved cooking and baking for her family and friends, especially her famous cupcakes and brownies. "If she baked for you, she loved you." Marge loved taking trips to the Cape to visit with her family. She loved taking her adventures to Foxwoods and winning big with her sister Fran. Marge was extremely devoted and enthusiastic while cheering on the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. Marjorie loved the color red, which represented her loving and generous heart. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin Street, (Rte 37), HOLBROOK. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Marge's name to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115 or Beacon Hospice, 529 Main Street, Charlestown, MA 02129.
