MARK BADGER Obituary

BADGER, Mark Edward Age 62, of Sherborn, died peacefully with his son by his side on December 14, 2021 at the Marlborough Hospital following a period of declining health. He was born in Natick on April 15, 1959 the son of Constance J. (Mosher) Badger-Tighe of Sherborn and the late Carlton A. Badger. Mark was the husband of the late Norma Louise (Picard) Badger who died on August 9, 2019. He is survived by his devoted son Carlton E. Badger of Worcester; brother of Linda J. Badger of Holliston, Laurie J. Carter of Sherborn and the late Scott Badger and Carl Badger; step brother of Lawrence Tighe of St. Johnsbury, VT, Brian Tighe of Portsmouth, NH and the late Bradley A. Tighe, Sandra Deleskey and Pamela Ball. He was also the step son of the late Bradley Tighe. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mark has been a lifelong resident of Sherborn and attended the Sherborn school system. As a young boy, he loved growing up on the family farm known as Columbia Farm in Sherborn. In his earlier years, he was a volunteer call firefighter for the Sherborn Fire Department. He enjoyed being a talented mechanic and restoring muscle cars and motorcycles over the years. He loved movies and music, especially rock and roll. Mark retired after many years as a heavy equipment operator in the Metrowest area and in Sherborn. He will be fondly remembered and missed by his family and those whose life he touched. Walk through visitations will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 12:00 noon to 1:45 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt 30), Wayland. A private family Service will be held at the conclusion of visitations. A Celebration of life for Mark will be held at a later date to be announced. At the request of his family, anyone in attendance at the funeral home will be required to wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Mark's memory may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
