Mark and I knew one another when we worked for our fathers in Fay Foto Mark and I worked together for our fathers Fay Foto Service in the 40s, 50s and siixties. It is distressing to me that these two men who for so long shared an intimate business and personal relationship have ended their lives without so much as an acknowledgement of each others existance

I had the occasion to think of Mark a few weeks ago. I remembered how much he enjoyed tennis and how good he was at it.
A wonderful person

I am extemely sorry to hear this news. Mark and I were boyhood friends and we shared a lot of memories. Red Sox games, playing tennis, stick ball in the back yard, and years spent discussing "LIFE"

Mark's father Harry & my Uncle Lou Olansky were very close friends. Mark & I lost track of each other over the years, but there was always this close knit feeling between us.

My sorrow at his passing runs very deep in my soul.
My condolences to all his family.

A Friend

August 1, 2007

Please except my deepest sympathies and condolences. For over 25 years Mark and I have compared notes on everything from work, his favorite subject, to sports and politics. I will miss our dueling and friendly arguments. Although we disagreed on some things, mostly work issues, I always admired his tenacity, sense of fair play and professionalism. He more then filled Harry’s shoes at Fay and this industry will never again see a person as dedicated as Mark. I will miss Mark in every aspect of my life. Again, please accept my deepest condolences.

For 15 years we had the privilege of being Mark's neighbours in Foster Place. He was not only a neighbour but a great friend. His humor, courage, frankness and vital personality enlivened this little corner of Cambridge. It is hard to imagine Foster Place without Mark! We will miss him greatly.

My deepest sympathy to Mark's family. I was a friend of Mark's and I was lucky to have known him both personally and professionally through events he covered for me at both Filene's and Bloomingdale's. We did several events together in the past year and I was so impressed with his courage and energy. He leaves behind so many happy memories...a great guy who will be greatly missed.

Mark was a wonderful friend and a great tennis partner. I know that many will miss his thoughtfulness and concern for others, but especially his two grandchild whom he adored. Janie, Matthew, and Jeff, please accept my condolences. I am very sad to see his courageous struggle with this horrible disease come to an end. Mark will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Mark's family and all at FayeFoto. Like so many p.r. people in Boston, I have known Mark since I started in the business so many years ago, and could always count on his friendship and professionalism at every turn. At Filene's for decades and more recently at Macy's, he was a part of the family and truly dedicated to doing the very best work possible.
I will miss him as a dear colleage and friend.

Mark will be missed greatly for his biting yet caring sense of humor. I enjoyed trading barbs with him. He demanded the best and generally got it, but he wanted the best for his clients and he wanted the same for his associates. No one who met him will be able to forget him. He battled his illness hard and once again showed his strength for others to respect. Rest in peace, Mark.
