So grateful that Mark's story gathered such caring and dear people in his honor - family members, friends, colleagues, and everyday walkers/runners/bikers/workers.
Thank you, everyone, from the bottom of my heart.

I did not know Mark, but saw him many times as I cycled along Fresh Pond with my kids and always appreciated his cheerful wave. He will be missed in this community. I think the City of Cambridge should dedicate his bench with a marker or some other way to honor him. Is there a way to get this started? I'd be happy to contribute!

R.I.P. Mark.
You were a staple in my weekly work routine, at Trader Joe's, one of the constants in an ever changing world. You unknowingly taught me compassion and the struggles of the homeless. My favorite memory of you was seeing you spend your money on a radio and batteries to keep you company through the night. And why candles were always on the house. May your soul rest easy.

Rest in Peace, Mark. It certainly appears you left an impression on everyone who had the pleasure of meeting you. You did not have all the comforts of a physical home but what you chose as home was yours. I am glad to hear you had countless friends and was loved. I always exchanged smiles and hellos with Mark each day that I walked my dog around Fresh Pond. I was impressed by his happy spirit and thought we could all learn a thing or two about life and contentment from him. RIP Mark, you will be missed and I too hope you find the perfect bench to enjoy in heaven.

Sweetest and most joyous faces when I brought them print outs of all their group photos from the fall season (given in the spring). Mark appreciated things and didn't hide his reactions. It was like a light shining from above whenever could make him smile.
