MARY ELIZABETH BEAL

BEAL, Mary Elizabeth (Marshall) Of Hingham, passed peacefully on April 7, 2018 in the company of her husband of 58 years, S. Maxwell Beal, Jr., and her daughter, Marilyn Center. All those who knew Mary are eternally grateful for our life with her. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, she was an inspiration, mentor, guiding influence, and the embodiment of all that is good in our world. Her example of loving compassion towards everyone will remain her legacy. Daughter of Frank and Martha (Evans) Marshall, Mary was predeceased by her son, Francis J. Johnson, and her sister Barbara (Otis) Piazza. In addition to her husband and daughter, Mary leaves behind her sister Phyllis Garrett; son Richard P. Beal and his wife Erica; granddaughters Dawn Finocchiaro and her husband Louis, Nicole Farraher and her husband George, Amy Angelo and her husband Stephen, and Perry Beal; grandsons Andrew Johnson and his wife Beth, David Johnson and his wife Diana, S. Maxwell Beal III, and Nicholas Beal; great-grandchildren, Louis, Olivia, Ava, Ella, Gidge, Hannah, Natalie, Brady, and Brooke; along with many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018, 4 – 8 pm, at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street, Hingham. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 1 pm, Hingham Congregational Church, 366 Main Street, Hingham. Interment will be private.
