To Mary's family - I just found about her death and I am so sad. I knew Mary from the Skating Club of Boston. We sometimes were on the same sessions, she having her lesson with her coach and me practicing. She was always so pleasant and warm towards me. We enjoyed being on the ice together and loved encouraging each other. I am truly so saddened. I know you're in a better place, Mary. Know you are greatly missed. You will be in my thoughts often.

To Mary's family--I met Mary at the Skating Club of Boston where we were beginning "adult" skaters. I loved seeing her and we would always skate around the rink a few times to catch up on news. We knew that we were starting skating a little late in life but always had a good laugh about it. She always had a sensible approach to life's ups and down. I didn't know her outside the rink, but definitely considered her a kindred spirit. I am so sad to hear of her death. Nancy Woods, Cambridge MA

My message to Mary: Mary, I am writing this message to you - It is me Maria DeMarco, I thought of you last week - I was going to call you and tell you that I retired, why didn't I? I was going to ask you if you wanted to go for that spaghetti dinner we promised each other we would do. I remember how much we shared, we had so much in common. I thought the world of you Mary, you reminded me of Mary Tyler Moore you were so classy, funny and just a wonderful person that everyone loved and respected. Mary, may you rest in peace and may the memories of you help your wonderful family and friends lessen their sorrow.

My condolences to Mary's extended family. I first met her back in the 70's when she and I both worked for the same court reporting company. Mary left to work at Middlesex Court and was an exemplary court reporter all the years since. May the shock of losing her so suddenly dissipate over time so that you will be left with happy memories in the years ahead,
