November 2, 2015

To the Curtin Family,
My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. One could only imagine the pain of losing someone so dear as Mary. Those who knew her know that heaven has received a true Angel. I met the family briefly when caring for Mr. Curtin, it was quite an experience to see such compassion, devotion and closeness of the Curtin Family. A devoted wife, mother grandmother. I felt high honors to be welcomed into their home.

Jack and Mary Curtin truly missed!

Sincerely,

It is with deepest heartfelt sympathy that I extend my condolences to the Curtin Family on the loss of your beautiful Mother.

Mary was the epitome of all that is good and wise and holy. I was privileged to work alongside of her recently and got to know the woman that I had already admired. She was kind and caring and took the time to listen to all who sought her counsel. I watched as she spoke on the phone to her beloved grandchildren whether they were in college or in first grade. Every conversation was filled with love and wise advice - or just admiration and joy. Her children were always in touch with her, and she enjoyed knowing of their everyday lives.

Mary's neighbors at North Hill wanted her company at dinner. In the past, she and Jack had to keep a calendar on the guests who would be joining them. She treated everyone with dignity and everyone reveled in her company.

Mary was a natural beauty. She was tall; she was elegant; she was a model to be emulated by all those who knew her. I loved her clothes and how she carried herself.
I loved being in her company. She was a Quiet Room; she was a Sunny Day; she was a pleasure to be with; she was intuitive and caring and warm and loving.

On October 18, I lost a dear and wonderful friend. I will never forget this beautiful woman, fondly called Mom, Mamie, Mary - but mostly Friend.

Goodby Beautiful Lady. Rest in Peace with God in Heaven.

Love, Kathleen

Our love and sympathy to Ann and all the Curtin children and grandchildren. Mary was a strong and brilliant woman, a beacon of family and community service wrapped in dignity, sophistication and approachable elegance. Her faith seemed to be unshakable and the driving force for all her success and wisdom. We grieve with you and celebrate the gift she was to all who knew her.
