Happy Birthday, Mom! I miss you so much. I seem to do the same things you used to do in the mornings - watch the Mass on EWTN, then the Rosary. Somehow, I feel your presence near me. You must know that John's sudden death really rocked our world here. Big sisters aren't supposed to bury little brothers .. but, we did. So many in July now .. George, Philip, Hoyt Jr, you, and now John the end of April. The 5 of us kids were so blessed to have you and Dad as our parents. Until we meet again Mrs. Calabasas ;-(

It's just me again mom. Where have the past 7 years gone mom..7 years. That means our son Hoyt, Jr will be gone 6 years this Sept. You passed away on his 40th birthday. I miss you more now than I did before mom. We have a new little girl added to our family, Erynn Elisabeth Louise Ware that Lynn and Russell adopted at birth. You'd really love her mom. She has personality plus and cuteness overload! We all adore her. I know you and dad have been busy watching over all of us and I feel your presence every day. Until we meet again mom..I love and miss you both ~ 'Goodnight Mrs. Callabash"!

Mom..there's a big hole in my heart that they say "time will heal" but I'm not so sure. I miss your sweet voice at night saying "good night Mrs. Calabash wherever you are", you captivating smile, the unconditional love you (and dad) had for all of us and yes...your Toll House cookies!! Every time I'd fly back home to VA the first thing I did when I landed was to call you and let you know I was home safe. Well, that was the first thing I did when I got home after your funeral too only you weren't there anymore and I cried...I miss you so much mom..."I love you..Love you...Love you". Fly high with the Angels mom..your back home with dad again where you belong...until we meet again.

I was saddened to read about Alice's passing. She was such a kind, lovely woman. I got to know her when I worked at Little Sisters. I was part of the rehab team that worked with her. I met several of her family members along the way. I remember her showing me her family pictures. She was so proud of all of you and loved telling stories about all the good times. Alice and I had great conversations, including about our mailman husbands. The light in her eyes when she talked about her husband was touching. I knew her for a short time, but I won't forget her. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Fondly, Beth

Have known Alice forever. Our Parents were distantly related. Her mother was my godmother. We went to school together, her sister Margaret was my age and classmate. I spent many vacation times in their home. I am sorry I am unable to attend the visit and service. My sympathy to all of her family.

Bob and I are so grateful to have known Alice. She was the a lady's lady, always met you with a smile and always kept a positive attitude. We don't ever recall hearing her complain about anything. We've been inspired by the loving relationship she had with her late husband, Ernie, and their children and grandchildren. We will miss seeing her at Paul and Charlene's Christmas gathering, but we are certain she is at peace and happy to reunite with her husband. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with all of the Doucette family.
