GILL, Mary M. (Siracusa) Of North Hill, Needham, formerly of Wellesley, January 15, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Gill. Loving mother of Stephen J. Gill of Natick, Joseph F. Gill and his wife, Theresa of Yardley, PA, and Richard J. Gill and his wife, Alison of Boston. Grandmother of Christine, Alyssa, Audriana, and Ava. Sister of Josephine Lawlor of Westwood. Longtime member of The Nine Holers Group at Wellesley Country Club, and longtime parishioner of St. Paul Parish. In a life marked by dignity, grace and style, Mary spent her well deserved retirement years wintering in Florida and traveling the globe with her husband of 64 years. Monte Carlo was a favorite and frequent destination. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., WELLESLEY, on Friday, January 20, at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley at 10 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Thursday, January 19, from 4-7 pm. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley. She was a combination of beauty, elegance, and magic...and Mary Gill was a legend. I had heard of her long before I actually met her. I knew she was a fierce protector of family and a dedicated wife and mother. Mary's granddaughters are such a testimonial to the passion and love of family that Mary was known for, as are the sons and daughters-in-law whom Mary took such pride in.
