MARY LEMIEUX Obituary

LEMIEUX, Mary Elaine In loving memory of our mother, Mary E. Lemieux (Addesa), of Sandwich, MA, who was born on September 1, 1941 and left us on October 7, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her entire loving family. Mary was a loving mother who leaves behind her son Toby O'Brien; daughter Erin Lemieux (Bagen); and son Michael Lemieux; and their partners Katy, Rich and Jenn. Mary also leaves behind two grandsons, Ian and Chad O'Brien; along with cousins, nieces, and nephews. Nothing gave her more joy than being a mother and raising her family with her loving husband William "Bill" Lemieux, who preceded her in death in 2022. Mary was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Michael J. Addesa and Irene M. Addesa (Guidi), with whom she had a special bond - they are now all peacefully enjoying their coffee and tea together again. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael J. Addesa, Jr., with whom she shared many memories of fun summers together on Sagamore beach. Mary was educated in the Boston school system, serving as an officer in many clubs and activities, as well as a cheerleader. She attended Boston State College and had a love of real estate and finance. Living on Cape Cod was a dream for Mary, and she made that come true by building the house in Sandwich, MA, where she met Bill, the builder of the house, they then made that house the family home for over 50 years. The two also shared a dream of having a cottage on a lake in Maine, another wish they made come true together and that continues to be a happy place for the family. Mary was not about the limelight and in accordance with that, there will be a small Celebration of Life service planned in the future. In lieu of flowers, she would be happy if you would consider a donation in her name to Champs Animal Shelter (https://www.facebook.com/CHAMPSanimalshelter/). Toby, Erin & Michael,
I was sorry to read of your mother´s passing. She was a strong woman, yet very kind, and gentle. She was always with her folks, they too were very special. They loved their grandchildren. I have a lot of memories of your mom she always had a smile on her face. Your dad I met years later, he was so proud of his children. I pray you are all well. God bless.

She was the best of the best! She was always up beat and fun! Always there to listen, talk and full of fun and laughter. She will be deeply missed! But never forgotten!

I met Mary a couple of times over the years through Bill, who I worked with at two building companies in Falmouth. She was always outgoing and kind, especially to my new wife who had just immigrated from China. My condolences to the family on the loss of your parents, both wonderful people.
