I'm sorry to hear about Mary's passing but glad she's finally at peace and free of pain. It seems I knew her most of my life; originally as a friend of my mother's, Edith Levine, who was also a friend of Lillian Perkins. Over the years I often saw Mary in Harvard Sq. and near her home on Howard Street, as well as at many of my mother's social gatherings. I feel like it's the end of an era.
Mary was a wonderful, kind and down to earth person who became a closer friend of mine after my mother's death. I will miss sharing our long conversations and reminiscences about people and places we knew as old-timers in Cambridge. I'm sorry she didn't get to enjoy a longer life after she sold her home. I am housebound and unable to attend services to pay my respects to Mary, but she is very much in my thoughts. I extend my condolences to all of her family and friends, especially her dear friend JoAnn Cavallaro.

Mary was a lovely and FUN person! I met her golfing at Fresh Pond a few years back. We would golf once a week and then go out to Dunkin for coffee. She had a fry sense of humor and kept me laughing. The same was true when we were on the same bowling team. Mary knew her health situation and never complained! She was so brave. I miss her even though I only knew her later in life through golfing and bowling. She always kept me laughing. I will miss you, Mary! You were a lovely and caring person. Rest in peace.Jo-Ann Miller
