I was shocked and saddened to learn of the loss of Maryanne. Back in the 1980's we were in IBEW LU 103 together, and years later (in 2000) when I was getting my MBA she took the time to take me to a meeting of top women business leaders in Boston, to make introductions and open doors for me. I didn't know her well but remember her as kind and generous and full of light. My condolences to her family and to all who will miss her.

I've always appreciated Maryanne's courage, insights and sense of humor. And the great joy she felt for her daughter Maxie. I was lucky to have her as a friend both in the IBEW and in JP. When 6 women electricians worked together at the Hynes Convention Center, Maryanne got us all to go shopping one day (in our Carharrts) on Newbury St. on our lunch break -- she made that job fun. I was looking forward to our plan to have dinner together soon. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

Such an admirable woman. Maryanne knew what she wanted to accomplished and achieved it. And she didn't take on the easy stuff. Becoming an electrician, graduating from HBS and starting her own business. She always had time to support women and the causes she believed in despite her busy life. She was a truly generous person. We will miss her. Jill Feblowitz

I had the good fortune to be in Maryanne's homeroom at GLS for 6 years. She never ceased to entertain us and her smile was a constant. When we reconnected a few years ago I was pleased to see that she was as full of life and laughter as before. We have lost a great woman and a wonderful role model. My thoughts and prayers are with Maxie and her family.

Maryanne was a presence at GLS, demonstrating leadership skills in her youth, thinking outside the box then. Thus, not a surprise she became an accomplished, successful businesswoman in a man's world. She never ceased to surprise. Years passed since GLS. As we came to know each other as adults, I admired her qualtities. . . smart, selfless, an inspiration. My condolences to her family.
Ave atque vale. . . Resquiescat in pace.
