MATILDA MCCARTHY Obituary

McCARTHY, Matilda (DeFrancesco) Passed away peacefully, at age 94, in Westborough, MA, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Matilda was born in Boston, MA and resided in Natick most of her life. She enjoyed volunteering at the Morse Institute Library in Natick and spending time with her family and friends. Matilda was predeceased by her husband, John F. McCarthy; and her parents, Vincent DeFrancesco and Jeanette (Pennellatore). Matilda is survived by her children, Janice Miller and husband, Ronald, Carole Whelan and husband, Robert, John McCarthy, Jr. and wife, Nancy, Paul McCarthy and wife, Susan. Matilda had ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Frank DeFrancesco, Vincent DeFrancesco; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON, on Monday, July 15, 2024, 8:30 am. Visitation from 8:30-9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick, at 10:00 am. Interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Natick.
