MAUDE E. ROTA

ROTA, Maude E. (Hannon) Of Randolph, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family, on December 4, 2021, at the age of 93. Born in Randolph, Maude grew up in Braintree and attended Braintree High School. She married her husband, Henry and they settled in Randolph, where they raised their family and have been residents for over 71 years. Maude enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Maude and Henry wintered in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, for over 35 years and they were blessed with many great friends and enjoyed many wonderful vacations. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Maude will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Maude was the beloved wife for 71 years to Henry J. Rota. Loving mother of Henry J. "Rick" Rota, Jr., Suzanne Nelson and her husband Phillip, and Marianne Rizzitano and her husband Sam all of Randolph, and the late Robert Gibson and John Rota. Devoted sister of Anne Donovan of Norwood, Claire Rhodes of NC, Gloria MacDonald of CA, and the late Louis "Bud" Hannon, Dorothy McDermott, David Hannon and John Hannon. Cherished grandmother to Michael Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Jennifer Rizzitano, Christopher Nelson, Nicolette Caparella, Leanne Rizzitano, Michelle Rota and Katelyn Rota and great-grandmother to Dylan, Nicholas, Mackenzie, Aubrey, Mason, Emily, Charlotte and Madelyn. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday, December 9th, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St., (RT. 28), RANDOLPH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 10th at 10 AM in St. Mary Church, 211 No. Main St., Randolph. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
