He really enjoyed chemistry and chemical engineering. I was in chemistry class with him at U of IL at Chicago. Also was in CAC of Chicago. Sorrow to hear of his death at a young age.

Jan, Brian and Brett, I am so sorry for the loss of your loving husband and father. Mike has been in my thoughts and prayers so often over the past couple of years. He met the health challenges he faced with that problem-solving determination for which engineers are known. What an amazing legacy he leave us. May you be comforted by one another and the memories you share.

Jan, Brett, and Brian,
I just heard of Mike's passing. You have my and my family's deepest sympathy in this trying time. Mike was the only person in my career who I had the pleasure to work with at two great companies (Baxter and Boston Scientific). I owe the advances I have reached in my career beginning with Mike introducing me to BSC in 1991 which lead to me taking his position. He was one great man who was passonate about all that he did and cared about the people around him. He will be missed.

Jan Brian and Brett,
The world has lost another great teacher, a great friend, an outstanding father and husband. And for me, an amazing Uncle. Uncle Mike loved all of us, with all of his heart. There was no limit to his generosity, to his patience, (trust me I remember testing it with Brett and Brian).
I see Mike's Strength in you Jan, his Humor in you Brett, his generosity in Brian. He will surely be with us in spirit, You are all a great reminder of what a great man he is.
All my love,
Jon

Jan, Brett and Brian, My prayers are with you during this time. Although we have not formally met and I had only spoken to Mike briefly a few times on the phone, I feel like I have known your family forever. His strength and playfulness was evident each time we spoke. Diane and his parents loved him so and always spoke so highly of your family. You have been blessed and will continue to be blessed with your loving memories. We love you.

Janet, Brett and Brian,
Your husband and father was one of the really great people that I had the opportunity to work with before and during our time together at Boston Scientific. He was a good leader and engineer, a great guy to talk with, and a very thoughtful and compasionate individual. But, most of all he was loving husband and dad. We know this is a time of great sadness for all of you, but always remember that he always had his priorities straight and you were his priority. We will all miss him.

Janet,
I am deeply saddened to hear about Mike's passing. My condolences to you and the boys (Brian and Brett). Mike was a tremendous inspiration to me and so many people he worked with over the years at BSC. I worked with Mike for over 13 years when he was at BSC and shared many Starbuck coffees when both he and I left several year ago. We spoke alot about family, business, invention and his past days of being a radical chemistry student. Traveling the world with him (Europe and Japan) were especially fun. We will all miss him.
Sincerely
David Hoffman

I send my condolences to Mike's loved ones. Mike was a voice of honesty and effectiveness in a business world increasingly dominated by self-centeredness and politics. I met with Mike several times in the past five years to discuss entrepreneurial opportunities thru Jeff Wendelandt.

To Mike's wife, parents and children. I was very sorry to hear that Mike passed away. I knew him briefly during my time at Boston Scientific. It was a challenging position for me and Mike knew just how to guide me. We reached a point where he could simply raise an eyebrow and I would know what he meant. He had that talent for leading people, guiding as necessary along the way. He spoke of his sons and I could tell he was proud of them. He was fair, compassionate and smart. I looked up to Mike and am grateful that I was able to work for him and know him.

Janet and family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He was a good friend and confidant to me for many years at BSC. He was always there to confide in and for advice, in good times and in tough ones. We often talked about our kids and families, which was always his top priority. My sincere condolences.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Mike "adopted" me for no other reason than I had the office across from him. He was always ready to give me advise and guide me through tough times. Please accept our condolences as you work through this great loss.

Janet, my condolences to you and your family. I worked closely with Mike for many years at BSC. We had a chance to travel the world and I always enjoyed his company. I learned a lot from Mike and his legacy at BSC and the Endoscopy divison was tremendous.
God Bless,
