Dear Lisa and Anthony,

Our hearts have been breaking for you, Anthony, and "Little Ant" - and of course Tina, and your whole extended family ever since we got the tragic news about your beloved Michael............and it was clearly evident that he was so deeply loved by you ALL.!!!!

Unfortunately, you and big Anthony have now joined that club ~ the only club whose members wish NEVER to have any new members!! Ever since Al & I unexpectedly joined that club just over 16 years this past March when we lost our beloved Michael at nearly the same age as your Michael, we have hoped and prayed that NO ONE ~ especially someone we knew and who are such amazing parents would ever have to go through the gut wrenching heart aches which are the dues required to join this unnatural club!! We are absolutely heart broken that you and Anthony have become the newest members we know to join us in this undesirable club of grief stricken parents who have been forced to endure the unnatural order of losing a child before his or her parents ~ especially at such a tender age like 21!!

As so many people have already written, "there are no words"; and that is really true....at least for right now. However, time and the love of your wonderful, loving family will help, even though many times, you will feel that NOTHING will ever help to ease that indescribable pain you are experiencing in your heart. There are some things that make it worse, and others that do eventually make it a little easier to bare. Eventually, after an undetermined time, you will even be able to enjoy the happy memories again without tears.

I understand that it is way too soon now, but please call or write to me ANYTIME when you feel up to it. Al would be more than willing to speak with Anthony, too. The four of us could even chat together all at once ~ whatever you feel you need or might help. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE....let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do for you!! This is not just an empty platitude, either. We really, truly mean it!! Kim shared with us that she also reached out to little Anthony to talk whenever he felt he needed to speak with someone who has also lost a brother. You can even use Susie as a go between to ask questions if you would feel more comfortable speaking through her instead. We would certainly understand should that be the case.

All I can tell you now is that "it"really will get better, but it is a LONG and rolling road - like a roller coaster. Please know that you, Anthony, and "Little Anthony", and of course your beloved Michael, have been and will continue to be in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers forever!! We LOVE you ALL and would truly love to try to help!!

Michael,

Let me start out by saying I never saw you without a big smile on your face. Every time you were in my presence I always looked forward to your big bear hugs. You were such an amazing friend. It was never a dull moment when we were together hanging out. I'm blessed that I can think back on many memories we've shared over the years (hockey parties, classes, proms, graduation, etc...) Words cannot begin to desribe how heart broken I am knowing your gone. You were taken from all of us way too soon. Your beautiful smile will forever stick with me in my memory. I'll be missing you every day... Please watch over all of us. You were loved by so many. You will never be forgotten, I love you Mike. Also my thoughts and prayers are with the Cappuccio Family forever.

rest in the sweetest peace my michael..I don't think I've ever referred to you as “mike”, you were my michael. being with you Friday night at a party with the most random group of people was a blessing. I soon came to realize that it wasn't just an ordinary random group of people, it was every single person you touched and made even the slightest difference to. this will forever be a dream. you were my first boyfriend and someone who became my best friend..our first conversation ever was walking out of our music class in 6th grade and I told you that your frosted tips were “super cool”. there wasn't a single thing you would not do for anyone, and that was just the very person you were. watch over us michael Fernando, love you always

Your love, your laugh, and your smile were infectious. It wasn't a party until you were there encouraging us all to live like it was our last moment. I am absolutely heart broken that you are gone. There is already a void in this town that no one can fill but you have brought everyone together in a way that only someone with a heart as big as yours could do. You have touched so many lives and will live on forever in our memories. I know I will see you again, waiting to give me one of your huge bear hugs and I know you will always take care of me like you promised my mom you would. I love and miss you so much Mike. See you later, best friend.

To say I am devastated does not even touch how I am feeling. I truly loved Mike. I had offered him a job doing yard work for me and he was there every time he said he would be. The last time I saw him he hugged me three times. I am so, so sorry.

Michael, I am so honored to say I've known you for so long. From the second I laid eyes on you I knew you'd cause me pain..most handsome little man I ever seen I couldn't stand you! You've touched so many lives and you know now, how many people actually loved you. The support your family has is out of this world and that gives me a sign of relief because I was worried about Anthony. You'd be so proud he's being such a man about everything. We will never forget the everlasting impression you've made babe. Fly high beautiful Angel, god is one lucky lucky man??
