Funeral Mass at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, West Roxbury, Saturday, at 10am. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting Hours at the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Friday, 4-8pm. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Mike was my friend for 35 years. We met with a mutual friend at the corrib for lunch and he entertained us with his first days on the job he made feel like part of his family from his parents to siblings we had an unconditional friendship. I will miss him but never forget him. Love you buck

I met Mike for the first time at the corrib arounddd 35 years ago with his good friend Ray maher. He told us stories of his first few months on the job. That was his happy place being a Boston police officer time went on but we always stayed in touch. He made me feel like part of the Doogan family one day I was at his dad's house putting a windshield in that van that wouldn't go away. He invited me in for coffee and as we're talking he says that if Mike came back in another world he would want his name to be buck. So I hope to see you again my friend Buck

My deepest condolences to the Doogan family. I knew your parents I grew up in West Roxbury and our families knew each. I will pray for each of you to get thru this trying period I live in Chicago now but if I was to move it would be to West Roxbury its such a nice community where people care for each other.
