Michael Matte Obituary

Of Waltham, formerly of West Roxbury on St. Patrick's Day 2008. Beloved son of Joseph Matte of South Yarmouth and the late Carol (Denman) Matte. Cherished father of Dyanna Roberts and grandfather of Dezaray and Xavier Roberts of East Boston. Brother of Stephen Matte and his wife Nancy of Norfolk. Michael is also survived by his niece and Goddaughter Shaunelle Matte and nephew Christopher Matte. Michael was the beloved, cherished and devoted companion and soul-mate of Barbara J. Deal for the past 15 years. Michael was a professional painter by trade and was also an accomplished illustrative artist. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Michael's Memorial Mass in St. Joseph's Church, 264 Washington Street, Union Square, Somerville on Wednesday at 10am. Interment will be private.
