Mike was my best friend when we were in the Army. I regret not keeping in touch with him. I did not know of his passing until looking it up on the internet. I got out of the Army in 1969 so I had plenty of time to try to find him. I truly regret that. I am so sorry.

Sally and David,
It was a pleasure to work with Mike in my decade at MWRA. He was so much more than a boss to us young guys back in 1986. Mike was a leader, a strategist, a mentor, an adviser and a friend. In short, a gentleman skilled in the art of the game. I have missed his wisdom often since my days at MWRA and will miss him more now knowing he won't be available at the other end of a phone call.

Besides being one of the best dressed at MWRA, Mike will be remembered for his laugh and the great stories that he told. The fairness, loyalty and generosity that he demonstrated to the people that worked with him will always serve as his legacy. My deepest sympathy to Mike's family and friends.

It is as if we have lost a member of our own family. He was great and loved spending time John, Joy & Jay. We have
so many memories of the holidays at our
house and David's first Yankee Swap! We
will miss him dearly. I know that he and
John are talking about all the things on
their bucket list that they accomplished
while on earth. Neither of them left this
world with many regrets. If two people had
a great time on earth, it was the both of them.
Mike always made people feel good about themselves and people were always happy to
see him. You can't ask for more than that.
David When you decided to join the Marines
I thought he would have a heart attack. He
was so frightened for your safety but,once he saw you in the uniform his pride overtook his fear.
Sally, you were the best for him. He was
a lucky guy to have you.
We will always love you.

Mike knew I could take a joke, so he persisted in telling me priest and Rabbi jokes, my heritage. At first he was somewhat opposed to the Water Supply Citizens Advisory Committee, WSCAC, advisory to the MWRA, but eventually came to appreciate our positions and actions. It has been a better world knowing Mike was there with his wry smile and humor. RIP. Eileen Simonson

I am so sorry for your loss. I give my deepest condolence to you and now take care of yourself more than ever.
I work in the Public Affairs Dept. with Mike and Gary Webster.
We are together to the end of our life on earth. No one has any idea how long that may be, but you need know to live life to the fullest. You ask question when is the end? WE all don't know that answer but Jesus. But keep searching until you find the answer. That's why you have to live life to the fullest because tomorrow is not promise to you or Me.
