Michael was one of the finest human beings I have ever met in my life. He was deeply spiritual, and just being in his presence would have a calming effect. I teach peace studies and Michael was the embodiment of peace. He was kind, compassionate, caring, and giving. Service played a huge role in his life. He cared deeply about people and animals, and he always made people around him feel good about themselves. I shall miss him. He left the earth a better place by virtue of his being in it. My condolences to Jo, Michael Jr, Michelle, his grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

Mike and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Michael Sr. was an amazing guy. Lots of fun and lots of history. I think is is the most Italian guy I ever knew. I will keep him in my memories always.
