My heart goes out to your family. What a loss. What a kind man Mitch was. I got to know him during our Trackpac days, and was inspired by his bravery in the face of his illness. I will miss seeing him and Paula on their walks together through Somerville.

Mitch was such a great friend to all of us boys from Bellingham. We grew up together and had so many good times and shared great memories. We will never forget Mitch and I know that my friends and I will always carry Mitch in our hearts and he will always be remembered. We love you Mitch!

Mitch was my former student at Western Washington University and from the time I first got to know him I appreciated his interest and even intensity in seeking not just information, but in getting as much accuracy and development in the information as he could find. He was an inspiration both as an editor and a writer.
