Morris J. "Nick" Nicholson

NICHOLSON, Morris J. "Nick" 100, passed away in Sun City. AZ. on February 8, 2011. Born in Baltimore, MD. in 1910, Nick graduated from the University of Maryland in 1932. where he was selected All American in Lacrosse; and the University of Maryland Medical School in 1936. He joined the staff of the Lahey Clinic Boston, MA. in 1938 where he specialized in anesthesia. He was a member of the Massachusetts, New England and American Anesthesia Societies, where he served as President and as a member of the Board of Directors and the International Anesthesia Research Society where he served on the Board of Directors. Upon retirement from Lahey Clinic in 1976 he moved to Sun City, AZ. He was predeceased by his first wife Marjorie (Gwynn) and is survived by his wife Genevieve (Pivnickus); and by sons David and his wife Patsy of Upper Marlboro, MD; Morris G. and his wife Judy of Merrimack, NH and daughter Elizabeth Calahan & her husband Fred of Salt Lake City, UT as well as nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren & seven great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1pm February 11, 2011 at the Faith Presbyterian Church, 16000 N. Del Web Blvd, Sun City, AZ
