Cynthia Marie Pottala

Cynthia Marie (Perkins) Pottala, 78, of Libertytown, Maryland, entered her eternal rest in the Lord on March 25, 2026. She was born on November 4, 1946, in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of William Dana Perkins and Ruth Arlene (Vosmus) Perkins. She is survived by her brother Dana Perkins of DeMotte, Indiana and her sister Susan Perkins of Halifax, Massachusetts.

Cynthia graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine with a major in Biology and from the University of Maryland with an MS in Electrical Engineering After college she worked in a wide diversity of disciplines from geology to neurology of cat brains to computer analyst. She had a heart for serving people and as a member of New Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Frederick, Maryland was keen to help those in need.

She will be especially missed by the Howard family, her longtime neighbors in Libertytown, MD and all of her friends at New Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church where a memorial service in her honor will be held in the near future.
