Recuerdos cariñosos para la familia Higgins-Hochberg.
Conviví con ellos un tiempo, por aprender un poco mejor el idioma y me llevé además una experiencia enriquecedora.
Lamentable pérdida.

Nancy is my cousin (my Mom is her Mom's little sister) and I'm so sorry for the loss to our family. She will always be remembered as that beautiful girl with the wild hair and sparkling eyes. My heartfelt condolences to Al, Esty, Betsy, Ann, Biil, Dick and especially to Rachel and Emma.

Nancy was the greatest aunt that I know. Her wonderful personality and positive opinions helped to enhance my stays in Rockport each summer. She was an all-around great person, and she took pride in the things that she accomplished throughout her life. She was an amazing teacher, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and of course, an outstanding friend. I will never forget her, and although she is no longer here with us, her memory will stay alive.

To the Hochberg & Higgins families,
My deepest condolences in the loss of your daughter, sister, wife and mother. I remember Nancy as a laughing teenager. I remember summers at Old Garden Beach. I remember the summer of the mumps. I remember walking down to the Neck after dinner for an ice cream. I remember going out for Chinese food at South Pacific. I remember a wonderful loving, caring person who always had a bright smile on her face. There was a time when I lived with the Hochbergs due to a family situation. She treated me like another sister. Teasing me but being there when I needed a hug or comfort. I am sorry I cannot be there as you were for me when my mother died. Please know that I will be thinking of you and praying for you. The feeling of pain and loss is always with you, yes, it will decrease over time, but, remember her love is always with you, for as long as she is within your hearts she will always be here. With love and fond memories.

We all loved Nancy. Her heart was pure, her spirit always generous, her intellect keen, and her humor contagious and kind. Above all, she was one of the most humble people I have ever known. She had a unique ability to make you feel that you were a very special person, a real treasure she had discovered. She brought you into her world as a co-spirator in happy adventures whether they be outdoor or metaphysical. She created a paradise here on earth by treating all with genuine loving-kindness, and so was surrounded by the same. She will live in our hearts forever.
With gratitude to the parents who brought Nancy into this world, the sisters and brother who nutured her as well, and her many other loving relatives and friends who shared in her light - let's keep her light going and live our lives as Nancy would love us to do so.
May we all take comfort in knowing that a most beloved teacher came to us and brought us light.

I am so sorry to hear about Nancy’s passing. Ann spoke in such glowing terms when she described Nancy’s selfless devotion to children and the arts. My heart goes out to the entire family.

Grace and kindness are two words that describe Nancy. She gave so much to friends and family. We are so very sad, but her goodness to others will live on in our hearts always.

I first met Nancy in the 1980's when her father was attorney to my father's alternative energy business that he started with a few colleagues after his retirement. My dad loved Nancy's pottery. He gave me a few of her off-white vases with a simple blue pattern and a touch of yellow. Then after my parents died, I inherited a few more that I treasure.
I wish to express my sympathies to all of her family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Nancy. As a child growing up on Briarstone Road, I took pottery lessons from Nancy for many years and have such fond memories of her. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Nancy was my friend. She strove to keep me on the leading edge of thought and knowledge. "String Theory" was her last effort in this regard. I will miss Nancy.
