Sorry for your loss. I went to Parsons College, in Fairfield Iowa and had a roommate, named Jackie, or Nancy. This was in 1966. Did any relatives attend Parsons? She wanted to be a teacher and I visited her and she took me to Plymouth Rock. Thank you.

Hi Polly and Janie, I have this one VERY specific memory of being at your house off Martins Lane on Christmas, and not being able to find the gift I had gotten, not sure if I actually got one, but it surface in my memory every once and a while. I can see us all sitting in the large room next to the front door. Some memories never fade. Our best to all, Ernie

It broke my heart to hear of your family's loss. Ms. Talbot was a visionary of a real woman's body. I grew up in a sewing room, crawling around the floor on around patterns, cloths, silk packages from China in the late 50s. My Mom provided me a rich appreciation of textiles, colors and styles. My first piece of Talbots clothing fit me perfect!!! Now I wear Talbots Womens Petite. I am also a loyal shopper and Nancy Talbot's memory will live forever. God Bless your family with loving memories of a phenomenal woman.

Ah, Polly and Jane, it's the end of an era! I have so many fond memories that revolve around your parents and the store. My thoughts are with you in this loss. I do hope you and your families are doing well.

I never met Nancy but when looking for a clothier that carried my size for my petite body and provided the kind of customer service I grew up with, someone suggested Talbot's. I've been a loyal shopper ever since 1990.
I'm so sorry for Nancy's passing and my thoughts are with her family. I know that you all are so proud of what she has done for so many women.

Dear Polly and Jane,
I met your mom first as your parent and then got to know her and your dad as an adult. They were both such fine and friendly people. I feel lucky to have known them. I'm sorry for your loss. You were fortunate to have had her for so long. Best wishes,

Nan and Rudy were, not only special in my life, but shared and taught me the retail business.
They graced me with the opening and management of the Lenox, Ma branch early on.
The contribution they gave to the mass market and catalogue business will be difficult to replace.

Nancy and Roo were the first people we met in Hingham when Tom came to be headmaster of Derby and when they graciously hosted us in their home. I will never forget them and their stunning art collection. Nancy's passing marks an end of an era.

So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Talbot's is my very favorite store. My closets are full of Talbot's. At 73 years old, I feel beautiful in Talbot's clothes.

As a small child, I would accompany my mother to the Duxbury Talbots during our summers in town. The store was comforting because it reflected my dear mother's style - tasteful, classical, refined, unchanging in a good way. Thank you and blessings, Nancy Talbot.
