Nancy TURNER Obituary

TURNER, Nancy Born in Winchester, Massachusetts, on June 18, 1935, passed away peacefully, at the age of 88. She was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Gladys Cutcliffe, of Reading, Massachusetts. Nancy was a beloved wife, cherished mother, devoted grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. She touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness and love.

Nancy's life was defined by her enduring love and commitment to family. For 66 years, she shared her life with her cherished husband, David W. Turner, creating a bond that served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they raised a family which Nancy held close to her heart. She left a lasting legacy of love and devotion.

She is also survived by four children and their families who were at the center of Nancy's world: Patricia and her husband Tony Johnston of Duxbury, Massachusetts and Winter Park, Florida, their son and daughter-in-law, Derrick and Kristen, and grandson Guy David; John and his wife Kathleen Turner of Duxbury, Massachusetts, and their children, Sarah, Ryan and Jack; Jeffrey and his wife Mimi of Duxbury, Massachusetts, and their children, Sam and Annie; and Julie Oliva of Duxbury, Massachusetts, her daughters, Melissa, Melanie and Madison, as well as their father, Leigh Oliva. She is also survived by her brother, William Cutcliffe of Osterville, Massachusetts. She considered herself incredibly blessed by the joy of witnessing them all flourish and grow, adding layers of happiness to her life.

Nancy was a graduate of Tufts University, a testament of her commitment to education and lifelong learning. Her pursuit of knowledge and intellectual curiosity inspired all around her. Nancy dedicated 22 years of her life to teaching elementary school in Norwell, Massachusetts. Her students were touched by her kindness and her commitment to education.

For 58 years Nancy called Scituate her home, where she became an integral part of the community as a member of the Scituate Garden Club. Her passion for gardening and flower arranging reflected her nurturing nature, always committed to helping things grow and flourish. A particular joy was decorating her home elaborately for Christmas and other holidays.

Nancy Turner was an exceptionally loving, caring, and generous person, whose life revolved around her family's activities and accomplishments. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire others for generations to come.
