Very sorry to just learn of the passing of Nick. Had I learned earlier I would have definitely attended his services.
To John, Stacey and Peter...your parents were two of the finest people there were. Your father and my father were very close through the board of trustees at the Cathedral and my parents, Charles and Connie, were godparents to Peter.
I last spoke to Nick about 3 years ago, but hadn´t been able to reach him since. My mom (Peter´s nouna) passed away 2 years ago. Perhaps our parents are together now enjoying each other´s company as they did for so many years.
My very sincere condolences. Your father was truly a great guy!

So sorry to hear my friend Nick passed. Graduated with Nick from NU, we both got stationed at Ft Gordon GA, same Battalion. We would eat at each other Mess Hall to make sure the food was good for the troops. We played many rounds of golf at the Armed Forces Golf Course in Augusta. It was then on to BC Law School, class of 1970, then on to our legal careers. Nick loved his family and his wife Maria. Nick was a fine lawyer and did his profession profession proud. Taps has sounded and the flags have been lowered to half-mast. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear John, Stacey, Peter, and the Foundas family,
Your father Nick and mother Maria were two of the finest people I have ever known. Nick was my first boss in the legal profession, when he was the Legal Advisor for the Boston Police Department in 1984 and I was assigned to his office from the City of Boston's Corporation Counsel Office. Nick became my tutor from whom I learned career lasting lessons, and he became a wonderful friend. I considered him the smartest attorney in the Boston Legal Profession.
From the many stories he recounted about his family, I know he dearly loved Maria and all of his family. It was always a pleasure meeting Nick for lunch, getting caught up on the latest events in the Foundas family or visiting him at his office to ask for his opinion about a specific legal issue in a case: he was invariably right.
God has taken Nick home to heaven with the love of his life Maria, and their friends and relatives and I will keep Nick and Maria in my prayers.
