NICOLA IODICE Obituary

IODICE, Nicola "Nick" 90, of Norton, formerly of Lexington and South Yarmouth on July 26, 2012. He was the husband of the late Theresa Iodice and Eleanor Feeney. Born January 14, 1922 in Lexington, he was a son of the late Sabatino and Anna (Boggia) Iodice. Nick grew up in Lexington and retired to South Yarmouth for thirty years before moving to Attleboro and later Norton over five years ago. He was owner of Odyssey Aviation Flight School at Hanscom Airfield and was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He loved to golf and had a passion for flying, owning several airplanes throughout his life. He was an avid boater and lived on Bass River in South Yarmouth where he also collected bees as a hobby and belonged to the Barnstable Beekeeping Association. He is survived by his devoted companion of 27 years, Mary McAteer Temple of Attleboro; a son Richard Iodice of Holland and several nieces and nephews including a devoted nephew, Jim. He was brother of the late Leo, Adam, Albert, Angelo, Dominic, Alfred, Jimme, Eleanor and Anthony Iodice. A Funeral Service will be held in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, N. ATTLEBORO, on Tuesday, July 31 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held imediately prior to the service in the Funeral Home from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Westview Cemetery, Lexington. www.sperry-mchoul.com.
