ZERVAS, Niki Niki Zervas passed away peacefully, on September 24, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on April 25, 1932, Niki spent 93 wonderful years spreading joy to any and all around her. A comfort to many and a delight to all, most of her time was spent taking care of her family and her community. Raised in a small village in Greece, with her older sister, Toula and younger brother, Yanni, Niki spent her childhood on her family's farm, with her chickens and goats. To escape the aftermath of two wars and her father's tragic passing, Niki decided to bravely venture to America, alone, at the age of 19. She moved in with her aunt and uncle and worked at their bakery, in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Niki met the love of her life, Louis Zervas, in grade school. Though they never dated young, when she came to America, they exchanged love letters and became smitten. Niki travelled back to Greece, married Louis and brought him to America. Louis worked as a chef in a restaurant, while Niki worked as a seamstress in a factory. Niki and Louis were blessed with two children, Kiki and George. In 1972, Louis purchased The Cock & Kettle, in Scituate, Massachusetts, from his employer, Nick Sampson and turned it into the legendary Golden Rooster. Niki and Louis worked tirelessly to turn their restaurant into an American dream success story. Not a day went by where Niki didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her. Her family was arguably her most important achievement in life. She loved to help anyone less fortunate and was a woman of strong faith. She was known for her infectious laugh, delicious food and incredibly kind heart. Niki is survived by her daughter, Kiki and husband, George Lazaris, they have continued Niki and Louis' legacy with their wedding venue, The River Club. Her two grandchildren, Maria Driscoll, her husband, Dean Driscoll and Niki Lazaris; and her great-grandson, Kairos George Driscoll. She is also survived by her older sister, Toula, her husband, Arthur Patsios; and her sister-in-law, Georgia Soffron. Niki's memory lives on with all her nieces and nephews and family in both America and Greece. Niki has reunited with those who left before her: her husband, Louis; son, George; her brother, John Soffron; and both of her parents. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 9:00am-10:30am, in church before Mass. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am, at Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, 811 Jerusalem Road, Cohasset, MA 02025. Niki's favorite place was church, she loved to sing and join choir on Sundays. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Niki's memory to the church her and Louis helped co-found, Panagia Greek Orthodox Church. Niki will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she gave so freely and the light she brought to the lives around her. Visit
