NORMA LILLY Obituary

Of Chestnut Hill, passed away peacefully on June 16th at 96 years of age. Daughter of the late Max and Mollie Ravech. Beloved wife of 61 years of the late David Lilly. Loving mother of Sandra Kaplan (Stephen), Dr. Leonard Lilly (Dr. Carolyn Langer), and Patti Bennett (Hal). Cherished grandmother of Morisa (Dr. Mark Surrey), Tara (Brian), Randy (Katya), Jamie, Jonathan, Rebecca, Deborah and Douglas. Loving great-grandmother of Skyler, Ryder, Taylor, Harper, and Mila. Sister of the late Harvey Ravech (Gloria) and the late Elliot Ravech (Marilyn). Norma leaves behind many cherished nephews, nieces and cousins, and especially the memory of her late cousin Estelle, who was like a sister to her. Norma was a renowned fundraiser for many organizations that benefitted young children and the disabled, most notably as founder and guiding spirit of the GBARC Red and White Ball, which benefitted individuals with developmental disabilities for over a quarter of a century. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on June 18th at 12:30 pm at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon Street, BROOKLINE. The Burial will follow at Beth El Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Norma's name may be made to Hebrew SeniorLife Hospice Care, 29 Newbridge Way, Dedham, MA 02026 or The Guild for Human Services, 521 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742. So sorry to hear of your mother´s passing. She was so much of my young life , family in every sense of the word. My personal advocate in the political and personal aspects of my life. A true force of nature . I really cried when I heard of her passing. I know my parents welcomed her home. My deepest condolences to you all .

I am so sorry to hear of your mother,Norma's passing. Unfortunately, I just found out today, the day of her funeral, so I am unable to attend. She was such a good friend to my mother. May she rest in peace.
