Words cannot express our sorrow for the news about dear Paige. We receive the Hingham Journal in Texas to stay informed about friends from our fifteen years in Hingham. We were shocked and not prepared to read this sad news. We have many lovely memories of Paige who we knew through the boys who are the same ages as our children. Sympathy to the boys and all of the family.

I knew Paige for 16 years. As a City Year Corps Member she was the team sponsor liaison for my Conrail/CSX Team way back in 96-97 and then we worked together at City Year in 05 and 06.

Even though I did not see her everyday, or even every year, I know that the planet was a better place with here somewhere on it.

Paige was someone that touched my life as both role model and then as a collegue, but always as a friend. There is a very small group of people in my life that have occupied all of those spheres, and I was just so fortunate to have known her and to have had her in my life.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I first met Paige shortly after we moved to Hingham over fifteen years ago. I have wonderful memories of Saturday night get-togethers with the Kanes, Harringtons and Warrens and our young children. Paige always amazed me with her ability to manage a busy career while being a terrific mom to her boys. She was a true friend who provided me with support and guidance when I needed it most. Over the years, I have enjoyed catching up with her at practices, parties, and baseball games, or taking our dogs for a walk. I know how much she loved her boys, Owen and Patrick, and I am so sorry for their loss. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, who will be missed by many.

This was a letter, Delaney (8 years old) wrote to her special friend, Paige, after hearing the news of her passing. "Dear special K, I always thought that you would never stop fighting. You were brave and someone that I could look up to. You never gave up and I know that you fought all you could. You will never be forgotten in anybody's heart. You're too special to forget. I loved you and you were great. You were great at so many things. Not just at being a Mom, but as a true friend. I love you Special K. You fought as long as you could. I know how you felt, and probably a lot of other people with cancer do too. You were a fighter, loving, kind, a good friend, a role model, a hard worker, and someone I cared about very much. I hope your pain is gone now. Love Delaney."

Pat and Owen - Having known your Mom since the days we lived in Hingham and used to get our dals together for doggy playdates, we were so blessed to re-establish our connection with her and to introduce the two of you to our two kids over the past years. We enjoyed all our times together with all of you, and want you to know that you are always welcome in our home (including Clancy). Your Mom was an incredible woman and will never be forgotten, because she made sure that every moment she was here, was a memorable one. We love you. Paul, Leslie, AJ & Delaney
