PATRICIA EVELETH BUCHANAN

BUCHANAN, Patricia Eveleth Passed away on May 9, 2023. She was 87. Patricia was a longtime resident of Concord, Massachusetts, residing in the same Conantum house for over 55 years. She was married to her husband, John, for 45 years, until his passing in 2008. Patricia is survived by her three children, John, Jr., Lisa and Nancy; and her five grandchildren, Zachary, Matthew, Lyndsey, Khai and Maxwell. A graduate of Abbott Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, she went on to attend Wellesley College and graduated from there in 1957 with a Bachelor's Degree in zoology. Beginning in the 1980s, Patricia worked as a graphic artist, and spent more than 20 years with Foster- Miller in Waltham, producing technical renderings for the engineering department. She had an intense interest in the natural world, capturing it through photography, sketches and watercolors. In her later years, she traveled regularly to Italy, sketching and foraging for fungi. She will be remembered for her gifts as an artist and her boundless curiosity.
