Patricia Canestro Obituary

Patricia "Dale" Canestro
Aug 11, 1930- July 30, 2014
Castro Valley
Patricia Dale Canestro passed away in Castro Valley July 30, 2014, at the Baywood Court Health Center where she resided for the past four years. Born in 1930 in Oakland, CA to Gene and Irma Noel, she graduated from Berkeley HS & got her degree in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley. While at UCB she met John Canestro, who became her husband for 62 years. He passed away in February 2014. She committed her life to raising her 4 children, getting them to school and their myriad of activities. She loved to sew, cook and bake for family and friends.

She will be missed by her 3 sons and their wives Don & Miranda, Allan & Linda and Ray & Darcy, & daughter Luanne, as well as her 5 grandchildren, Jessica, Alyssa, Mario, Carla and Stella, and sister Michelle Welch. We were all blessed to have had such a loving, caring and supportive mother and grandmother.
