Dear Aunty Pat,Sheila, Deidre,Peggyand Brian,
Our sincerest condolences to you all at this sad time. The distance that lies between us is difficult. We do share your great loss. Uncle Eric was an icon to all of us and he is remembered with fondness. Even though the children met Uncle Eric on only a couple of occasions he made a huge impact on them. From the moment they were introduced to Uncle Eric in Greystones he made sure he was known as their "Great" ! Uncle - to the time we made a brief but eventful ! trip to Cohasset.
I am so glad we all managed to meet.
Be assured that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerest sympathy and love.
Davnet, Sam, Siobhan, Shereefa Shahir and Shadia.

On behalf of St. Francis House, I would like to express our sympathy to the O'Neill family. Please know that in directing memorial gifts to our day shelter in lieu of accepting flowers, you honor Eric while helping us rebuild lives. What a lovely and selfless tribute!
Thank you,

Only met Eric in 1994. Always enjoyed his insights into New England Foundation business and into "big dig" as destroying opportunities rather than enhancing the area market place. His stature, grace and gentlemen behavior will be sorely missed.
