Paul, I sure wish I had the chance to meet you and I am so sad about that. I met Melissa after your untimely death, and got to know you through her many delightful stories about all of the love you gave her, when she needed it the most. I als know you form teh music that Mellissa enjoys as well as the loving smile Mary Ann has when she speaks about you with a glowingsmile.. You are sorely missed by all that new you. I am sorry I am not one of them but you live on, in the smiles of those who knew you best, particularly Melissa' smile when she speaks about the adventures you both had together. May the peace f Christ be with you always.

It has been at least 44 years but still remember all the fun times I had with Paul as my babysitter my younger brothers be asleep and we'd watch scary movies & eat popcorn. Even after we moved he came to visit a few times. He was a great guy and I am glad that one of the last times I seen him I told him he was my absolute favorite sitter he laughed and gave me a hug and told me I better be good or he would come kick my butt he was a teddy bear. RIP Paul

I am so saddened to know of Mr Paul Gauthier's death; it was my very good fortune to come across him in Cambridge, through Harvard University. I remember his boundless appetite for travel and theatre, books and good conversation. Never have I seen an accountant like him, and expect I never will again. A very humane and enlightened person, whom I wish could have remained with his family, friends and associates for many, many years longer.

I am deeply saddened to hear of this loss and offr my heartfelt condolences to Mary Ann and the family. Like so many, I knew Paul mostly as a client, occasionally enjoyed running into him at Starbuck's and especially looked forward to my yearly visit to the office. Paul was unfailingly jovial, warm, and made a potentially stressful task a positive experience. I think that is because he was simply so 'present' himself and shared so much of his big heart- the joys of his trips with Mary Ann, with friends; or we reminisced about our youth as a song played from his vast library. Paul connected with me genuinely and openly as he obviously did with others. I am sad today but will keep fond memories, forever grateful for his professional service, authentic caring and kindness.

I was very sad to hear about the passing of my cousin Paul. Just a few years younger than myself, I always remember his kind spirit, and quick wit. I remember going over to Linden Avenue in Somerville many Christmas afternoons and spending time with Paul and his siblings. It was a very happy place to be.
For many years he helped my late mother and my family with our taxes, always giving great advice.
Please accept our sincerest condolences. I know he will be dearly missed for a very long time.

I had the good fortune to be referred to Paul in 1992 so for the past 25 years I have enjoyed coming to see him up on the 3rd floor at tax time, hearing about the travels he and Mary Ann planned, talking about books and sharing stories, laughing, having a great time while he filled in my tax forms. I looked forward to my yearly visit and this year, my visit was scheduled for yesterday, March 23. When I arrived at the house and saw the note on the door I stood there in disbelief. I had talked to him just last week. His daughter Melissa arrived as I was standing there and all I could say was " I loved Paul!" He was one of the kindest and most generous of men. I am grateful for having known him and I will sorely miss him. I send my deepest sympathy to his family.

As one of Paul's clients for years, I am deeply saddened by his passing. While I did not enjoy dealing with taxes, I always looked forward to seeing Paul each year. He was always accommodating, generous, cheerful, funny, and a pleasure to know. My condolences to his family and all those who had the good fortune to meet and know him.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Paul's death. He was a bright spirit full of intelligent humor and deep kindness. My warmest condolences go to Mary Ann and his many children& grandchildren. I am sure his brother and sisters and all of his hundreds of best friends will miss him terribly. I know I will. I just remembered a happy scene at a reception of a research administration conference when the group were singing along with some great old rock and roll songs. He knew ALL the words and could sing and laugh at the same time. Farewell my friend.
