Miriam,Pam and Kenny
I'm sorry to hear of Paul's passing. He was my best friend in our early days in Mattapan. He lived one strret away on Estella Street and I lived on Harvard Street and Paul and I went to the Audubon and Latin school together. We played ball everyday on the street or on the State Hospital grounds and I spent many nights at his house with his family. I just heard of his death through a neighbor who was asking me how I was doing since I just lost my wife of 45 years in May right before I was to attend the Latin School 50th class reunion where I was hoping to reunite with old friends like Paul. I know you all have great memories of him and I know too well how important it is to have a great close family around you to help you all get through this loss. I will always have great memories of him.

Miriam, Pam and Kenny: I'm sorry to hear of Paul's passing. He was always very nice to my brothers and me, and was nice enough to allow Kenny to play kickball and football with us for all those hours instead of making him do his homework. I hope you find comfort in this time of need.

We met Paul and Miriam on a tour of National Parks and were impressed by his intelligence and warmth. We stayed friends during the ensuing years and enjoyed their visits to Florida. Paul's knowledge of history, religion and politics was always a source for good conversations and sometimes debates. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Pam, Kenny and the Gilman family-I was so sad to hear of your dad's passing. Though it had been many years since I saw him, we were neighbors for a very long time. I know he will be missed.

Paul was my insurance agent; he was a thorough and professonal counselor. Paul was also my fellow congregant at Temple Emanuel. He always had a smile. He was welcoming and enthusiastic. I know that he will be missed by the Newton community and by everyone who knew him. I am shocked and saddened by his loss.

No matter how long it had been since Paul and I had seen each other it was always a thrill for me to pick up our last conversation.Paul was a fierce and principled advocate for his views and I loved debating him.It was always fun because he was a uniquely affable and nice person. I had looked forward to seeing him and Miriam at the 50th BLS reunion. He will be missed and remembered with love and affection by his many friends.

Our sincere sympathy goes out to our cousin Miriam and her dear family. Paul was a special person and will be long remembered. We were fortunate to be with Miriam and Paul just a few weeks ago in Florida. They were really enjoying their stay and we planned to see them again in the coming weeks. He will be sorely missed. We loved Paul.

Paul and I attended Latin School, Hebrew College Prozdor and Harvard.
Over the decades, I admired his generous hand, his commitment to others in need, his keen sense of fellowship with all who came to know him and his striving always to find common ground. His feet were firmly planted in the Jewish Community and from that base he stepped up as a stalwart leader and supporter to many institutions of charity and goodwill. I was looking forward to seing him once again at the 50th Class of '59 Latin School reunion in May.
His loss reaches beyond mere geography; his example will remain with us for generations. May his memory be for a blessing.

Paul was my classmate, and one of the nicest men I've ever known. Sadly, the last time I saw him was at the funeral of another classmate, Marty Savitz. My deepest sympathy to Paul's family.

Paul and i were at Latin School and Harvard together. My heart goes out to his loving family. Most of all I remember his intellectual passion and fierce independence. In this respect he was and always will be a model for me. His contributions to his community are legendary and he will be missed by so many. Regrettably, I am half a world away and will not be able to join the many friends and family who will pay tribute to him.
