He was an amazing teacher and musician and wrote the alma mater, tune borrowed from Bach, for the Sea Pines School for Girls. My roommate, Janet Capron, and I were just at the old Sea Pines Inn and were going to look him up to visit...but missed him by a few months...a real tragedy, indeed!

I am so sorry for the loss of your father, Emily, Mark and Steve. He was quite a character, not to mention a terrific musician. (I taught with him at ASL)

I really appreciated his teaching me music in high school at ASL. He got me started on a number of instruments and encouraged me to play with mostly boys in the jazz band. He also showed me how to use a synthesizer after school. What a positive force he was in my life!

Mr. Nossiter was my music teacher in London in the seventies. I was a poor student and probably didn't make much of an impact on him, but he had a huge impact on me. He had very high standards - I owe it to him that I can tell an oboe from a clarinet and french horn from a coronet. My own passion for music (although as a lay person) has its bloodlines from his class. He is among the few teachers that I still think of today. Thank you, Mr. Nossiter.

Paul was a fine man who I knew briefly 45 years ago. He conducted himself with dignity even under difficult circumstances. My condolences.

My condolences to Mark and Steve and Emily. I knew "Mr. Nossiter" as one of our inspired music teachers back in 1970s London days at ASL. He was on one European music trip with a bunch of rowdy teenagers, myself included, brave man. Every day he would get on the bus and tell us some ridiculous joke that we, being the snarky teenagers that we were, called his "yuck yuck" jokes; so bad they were good. He always brought a smile to my face.

Paul was my music teacher in Lynnfield High School many years ago. I never forgot what he taught me nor did I ever lose my love of music that he helped me find. May he rest in peace...he brought joy to so many.

I will miss hearing Paul play songs I had never heard - one after another!
My opportunities to play music with Paul were far too few...
