PAUL O'BRIEN Obituary

O'BRIEN, Paul J. Formerly of Scituate and Newburyport, MA, died peacefully on June 6, 2022.  Beloved husband for 61 years to Virginia (Vodoklys) O'Brien. Loving father of Paul J. O'Brien, Jr. and his wife Tracie of Norton, MA  and Peter J. O'Brien, Esq. and his wife Jane of Newbury, MA. Also survived by his brother John O'Brien of Odessa, FL; and his adored grandchildren, Abbey, Jack, Sean and Colby. Paul was born and raised in the Bronx, NY but spent most of his life at a family cottage in Hampton, NH and in Scituate, MA. Paul graduated from Manhattan College in New York with degrees in Physics and Engineering, followed by a long career in various executive positions at Raytheon, Ocean Research Equipment, Highline Corp, and was a Vice President at American Science and Engineering. Besides gathering with his cherished family Paul most enjoyed spending time with his bride, the beach, reading hundreds of books each year and traveling the world. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport, MA at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 16, 2022 followed by a reception at the Mission Oak Grille. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., NEWBURYPORT, MA 01950 is assisting Mr. O'Brien's family with his funeral arrangements.
