Margo and Family. It has been many, many years since I worked for Paul at both KD and Big Brothers. In fact, I still have a KD Christmas party photo with the kids and Paul going to see Santa. I am sure you have it, as well, but if you don't, and would like to have it as a remembrance, please let me know. Paul was a wonderful boss and friend that I have often thought about, and one that I shall always remember. I hope that his passing into Heaven was easy, and that you all are celebrating his life that touched so many, in so many positive ways. My prayers are with you. May you take comfort in knowing that Paul was, indeed, a good and faithful servant to his Lord in every way. He also was, as you well know, devoted to all of you every moment of his life. Peace be with you always.

I came to know Paul first as a former Special Agent of the FBI, and then as a fellow member of the Board of MAB Community Services. He was generous with his time, his resources, his ideas, and his graciousness. His unfailing good humor will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know this fine man.

I attach a photo of Paul from September 2006, keeping up with the younger FBI Agents out at the range, trying out the latest firearms. He enjoyed every minute of it, and valued his association with the FBI.

Mr. O'Friel,
Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country-first when you served in the USN in the Pacific during WW II and later when you served with the FBI. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Paul was the best man at my parents wedding (Sadie & Jack Joyce - July 12, 1952). Known as "Uncle" Paul to all of the Joyce children, he will always be remembered for his generosity, kindness, compassion and wisdom. Take comfort in knowing that his soul is at peace, and shines brightly within his eternal loving light.

Dear Margo and the O'Friel Family,

My prayers are with you. Paul and I worked extensively on Salvation Army advisory board matters, and I've never seen anyone so committed to honoring God by cultivating strong and meaningful human relationships. I celebrate his legacy with you, and I thank you for sharing his life with us.

With all my love,
