Paul and I worked together in the Production Control Department at Printed Circuit Corp in Woburn. Paul was a good friend and a good man. We would talk about sports, politics, and History at work. My. Deepest sympathy to Paul's Family.

What can I say about my lifelong friend Paul. I could tell you that Paul was a triple letterman in high school. Or that he played based guitar in a local band called Dyonesis. Or that he set a record for leg presses at World Gym in Woburn pressing 350 Lbs 66 times. Or that he got his MBA from Bentley. Or that he was a successful entrepreneur founding several business. Or that he thought everyone should be a republican. Or that he could barbecue meat like nobody’s business…. but I wouldn’t be telling you the whole story. Paul’s story is about family, friendship, courage, and faith.
Family:
Paul always put family first. His lovely wife Julie was his soul mate. In addition to being husband and wife they were truly best friends. You could see it in the way Paul spoke about Julie. They shared experiences, they shared their responsibilities, but most of all they shared true love.
Paul was also a loving, caring father. Most of you experienced this first hand in his interactions with Ella and Paul Jr. He always had a gleam in his eye when he spoke about his kids and he loved to talk about them.
Paul’s loving, caring nature stems back to his strong relationship with his mother and father and three sisters, Andrea, Lisa, and Stephanie. A tighter knit family you will not find. The love and closeness of the Stepanian family instilled the values that made Paul the great family man that he was.
Friendship:
Paul treated his friends as his extended family. And it is a large one. I am just one voice of the many friends in attendance today, as Paul has several close friends. Paul was inclusive of everyone and always stood by his friends, in good times and in bad. He was always there to lend a hand no matter what the cause. Paul was also a source of sound advice… we all look back and wish we had taken more his advice.
Courage:
Who heard Paul complain in the end… the answer is nobody. Paul showed extreme courage in the face of tremendous adversity. He was selfless, thinking only of others when asked that daunting question, “How do you feel” and the answer was always “good”. Paul fought his own disease privately, while publicly leading the charge to end Multiple Myeloma. I would ask him from time to time, don’t you get upset about your condition, and he always said how can I ever complain when see children at Dana Farber fighting for their life. I learned more about being courageous in the past three years with Paul then I have in my previous 36 of life. I, along with many of you, will make the most of the lessons he taught.
Faith:
Paul had a strong faith in God, and it was this faith that helped pull him through the tough times. In the end he told me that he put his life in God’s hands and there is no doubt in my mind that he is taking that walk with God today.
Paul, I love you. I miss you. I will miss our talks about politics, sports, or the news topic of the day. You have graced my life more than you will ever know. Paul you were my best friend, my rock, and my hero and you will never be forgotten. God bless.

Julie, I have just recently learned of the death of your husband Paul and was very saddened to hear so, I am truly very sorry. I realize he had been sick for some time, but the loss of a loved one is of course difficult no matter how much preparation is made. Please know that the thoughts and prayers of myself and my family are with you, Ella and Paul during this difficult time.

To Julie and whole family-
I cannot even begin to express the pain that I feel, everyday that I mourn the lost of my best friend. Paul taught me more about the business world then any other man I know. His passing has put a pain in my heart which I know will never leave. I hope that you will always keep his memory alive through Ella and Paulie. The lord is almighty, and his will is law. I hope you know that every night I will pray for you and your whole family.

Dear Julie and Stepanian family, We are very saddened by news of Paul's passing. My cousins, husband, daughter and I met Paul through his work and always appreciated his dedication and care for us. His kindness, thoughts, and good sense of humour will always stay with us. He always updated me about his lovely family and it was obvious how much he loved you all. You are in our thoughts.

Dear Julie,
I am saddened to learn about Paul's passing.
Although I have only known him for a very short time, I marveled at all the courage he had shown. While outside playing with Ella and Paul one would never have known how sick he really was.
My thoughts are with you and your children.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Paul's passing. I was one of Dan Strollo's roomates at UMass and got to know Paul through his many visits. Paul was a person of quality, and we all enjoyed his presence immensely every time he came to see us. I came to consider him a friend and though I haven't seen him in several years; oddly he will be missed. Such is the impact that good people have on those that they meet on the trail of life.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies in regards to the passing of Paul. It was a privilege to have known him through his great friendship with John, which brought him to so many of our family events. In the last few years, it was truly inspirational to see Paul battle his illness with such humility and grace, and to see the remarkable response to his work with Reaching for a Cure. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I remember the day in 2001 I met Paul and Julie like it was yesterday - a barbeque in the backyard of the Wellesley home. From the first day I knew how important you have been in Scott's life, and you both were so welcoming. I will always remember Paul's love of entertaining, debating politcs and most importantly having fun doing both with family and friends. We miss him dearly and will think of him every day.
