In Woburn, Aug. 31st. Beloved husband of Joyce E. (Butterworth) Sweeney. Devoted father of Paul L. Sweeney and his wife Jessica J. Manson, M.D., of Weybridge, U.K., and David W. Sweeney of New York, NY. Dear brother of William J. Sweeney and his wife Renate of Needham. Loving grandfather of Amelia J. Sweeney. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., WOBURN, on Friday, Sept. 5th at 8:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 9. Calling hours Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Paul's memory to the Woburn High School Scholarship Fund, PO Box 202, Woburn, MA 01801.
