PEGGY ROSENBERGER Obituary

ROSENBERGER, Peggy 88, of Weymouth, formerly of Scituate passed away peacefully at the Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham following an illness.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Tilghman and Enna Jeanne (Griffin) Cogbill

She was the devoted mother of William Russell Rosenberger, III, his wife Cheri Rosenberger of Hudson, WI, Eric Bryan Rosenberger of Beverly, MA and Linda Sullivan, her husband Steve Gosling of Plymouth, MA. She was the cherished grandmother of Joseph (Jake) Sullivan III, Maxwell Sullivan, Miles Sullivan, Katy Pavek, Sam Rosenberger, Jack Rosenberger, Nick Rosenberger and Amanda Rosenberger.

Loving sister of the late William Tilghman, III and Jeanne Norvell. Former wife of the late William R. Rosenberger.

Peggy earned her nursing degree from the Medical College of Virginia and worked as a trauma nurse in Virginia, and later a psych nurse at Carney Hospital in Massachusetts.

She was an avid and competitive tennis player, worked to establish the Gourmet Arts Guild in Scituate, was a long-standing member of the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club and sang in the choir for many years at the First Trinitarian Congregational Church. She loved and valued the ability to travel, and visited England, Italy and most memorably, went on an African Safari.

Peggy developed close friendships with people of all generations. She was a valued confidant and counsel to many throughout her years. Anyone who knew Peggy, knew of her immense love and devotion to her grandchildren (Gaga's Babes), they were her greatest pride and joy. Peggy's fiery spirit, inquisitive nature and passion for life will remain embedded in the memory of so many who loved her.
