PETER ARANSKY Obituary

ARANSKY, Peter Peter The Great Dies At Age 84 It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Peter Paul Aransky. He passed peacefully at home in Newton, Massachusetts on February 5, 2025. Peter was born in New York on September 18, 1940 and spent much of his life living in Newton, Massachusetts. Throughout his life, Peter was a natural entrepreneur, was president of Whiting and Davis and owner of Eclipse Accessories, Inc. Peter is survived by his devoted wife, Jane Aransky; his children, Kim and Richard Zweifler, Ted and Amy Aransky; grandchildren, Gillian Zweifler, Jaymi Zweifler, Jessica Zweifler, Tyler Zweifler; his sister, Beth Miller; and sister-in-law, Judith and Robert Rosen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Bieber-Aransky; brother, Roger Aransky; aunt Berenice Bieber-Mittell; and mother-in-law, Gertrude Cottler-Wolf. Peter was a gentle, quiet and deeply wise man who touched others with his unique ability to listen and offer sage advice. He had boundless love for his family and friends. He eloquently expressed himself through meaningful conversations and beautifully written words in an effort to educate, mentor and help others. Peter was a teacher and an artist at heart. He had a mischievous side and with a twinkle in his eye, loved to pull pranks and make others laugh. He was and will always be our beacon of light and love.

My Dear Jane -
I just heard the sad news about Peter. Although I did not know him well, we did meet, and he was charming and kind. You and I have known each other all our lives. I am sending good thoughts and condolences to you. If and when you would like to chat, reach out to me. Sadness affects everyone. Time and laughter help, as we both know.

Love Always,
